PurePressed Juicery has officially opened its doors and just in time for Easter weekend. This new Columbus gem is located at 194 High Street, right in the heart of Columbus Commons. They offer a variety of pressed juices along with organic mixed fruits, salads, snacks, and acai bowls. My favorite juice is the Johnny Apple Cleanse which consists of apple, lemon, cayenne, and ginger. The flavor was so strong and fresh, I actually thought a splash of vodka might have been added, but no worries it was just the ginger. It was extremely delicious along with the other samples I tried which were: Victoria's C-Cret, Detox Aid, Calmin' Vanilla Almond, and Pure Apple.
It was the perfect Saturday to meet up with local blogger, Devon Moretti of Devon Day Moretti: Fitness & Wellness. Her positive energy and outlook on life was truly inspiring. If you ever read #GirlBoss - you'll know what I mean. She's dances to the beat of her own drum and she is extremely down to earth. I'm so happy my friend Jillian and I got the opportunity to share our Saturday afternoon with her. We literally talked about everything and nothing at the same time, and I took a million photos of Devon. Seriously, thank you Devon for being my model, I'm sure it won't be the last. We plan on collaborating soon, so be on the look out for an upcoming blog post from her.
The Classic Acai Bowl (photo above) consists of bananas, berries, granola, and honey. I'll be honest, I'm not a health-nut, but I truly enjoyed the classic acai bowl. It was light, crunchy, and perfect for my post work-out meal. Thank you PurePressed Juicery staff for your amazing customer service and refreshing juices! I'm so happy I was able to witness your grand opening and be one of your many customers in the future. Congrats!
So how many apples does it take to make a Johnny Apple Cleanse? Well, let's find out.. 1 apple, 2 apples, 3 apples, 4 apples... oh boy, that's a lot of apples.
Let's just say it takes in between 2-5 pounds of fruits and vegetables which are made fresh daily using a custom cold-press juicer. Oh! And guess what? There's no secret to how it's done! You can see for yourself how they press the fruit since they keep the juicer out in the open for onlookers to watch. It's a fun experience and a great way to see how much effort it takes to make a 16 oz bottle of juice.
Fun Fact: The Cold-Pressed Juice is the closest thing to eating raw fruits and vegetables. Yummmm!
