What's Up Columbus!
I hope you had a fabulous week full of fashion, art, and music. This week, I had the great opportunity to attend many spectacular events in the Columbus, OH area (and a quick road trip to Cincinnati, OH) which includes: Raw Artists Columbus: Revolution at Shadowbox Live, the CMH Fashion Week Launch Party at Hollywood Casino, and the "On The Run Tour" by Beyonce' and Jay-Z at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, OH.
On Tuesday (June 24th), Raw Artists Columbus held a showcase called, Revolution featuring more than 40+ artists showcasing their recent works. This event featured all forms of art including: visual, fashion (clothing apparel), make-up, music, and live performances. Shadowbox Live created the perfect atmosphere for visual artists and photographers to set-up their displays while interacting with onlooking spectators. This event was well put together and all the artists were extremely eager to speak about their work. This event focused on modern, street, and local art that represented a broad spectrum of artists we have locally here in Columbus and the surrounding city.

How was your weekend? Did you enjoy the Arts Festival? Did you party on Park Street? Last weekend, the weather was absolutely beautiful and I was able to attend both the Columbus Arts Festival and Park Street Fest. I went with my boyfriend Lawrence and we just walked around, drank a little, and just enjoyed the atmosphere. The city truly felt alive as people were walking around Downtown Columbus and in the Arena District. The 2014 Columbus Arts Festival featured more than 230 artists who traveled from all across the U.S to be in attendance.
There were live musical performances, cheap drinks, and local food vendors - basically the perfect combination to a festival. All of the artwork was absolutely stunning, but way too expensive for my budget. As a local, I would have appreciated more modern and street art. Later that day, as I was scrolling through Instagram, I came across a few other Columbus Bloggers who were also posting photos and this photo (to the right) featured my favorite artist at the show. This artist focuses on digital art using a combination of layering and rendering to create his masterpieces. Beautiful, right?
