A Luxury Staycation at The Joseph in Columbus, Ohio

The Joseph

Last weekend, I had the exciting opportunity to stay in one of Columbus’ most beautiful boutique hotels, Le Méridien, The Joseph in the Short North. If you’ve never experienced luxury in Columbus, then I highly suggest reserving a relaxing staycation at The Joseph. It’s the perfect getaway for couples looking to get a city experience with a local vibe.

The Hotel
The Joseph is a beautiful hotel connected to The Guild House, a restaurant that serves a farm-to-table cuisine and the perfect place to re-energize. From the eye-catching exterior to the colorful interior, The Joseph is a working piece of art. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re greeted by concierge services, friendly staff and beautiful art.

All of the bedrooms, hallways and even front lobby feature local artists and the art collection of Ron Pizzuti, The Joseph hotel owner. It’s the perfect space to walk around, grab a drink and enjoy a nice conversation with the one you love.

The Food
Guests can make reservations at The Guild House or any other local restaurants nearby (Forno Kitchen and Bar, Marcella’s, The Pearl, Del Mar SoCal Kitchen, Lincoln Social Rooftop Bar, or Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse) which is extremely convenient so you don’t have to drive.

The Room
The minute you step into your room, you’ll feel right at home (of course without all the craziness). So take a deep breath, fall back on the bed and relax. It feels nice, doesn’t it? When you book a staycation here, I encourage you to enjoy every moment; so open the curtains, pop a champagne bottle and check out your beautiful view of Downtown Columbus or Short North. The night is yours so feel free to let loose a little.

The Spa
After you’ve woken up naturally without being disturbed by your alarm clock, it’s time to attend to your much needed massage. The Joseph relaxes your mind, your body and your spirit. The hotel offers a unique and luxurious spa experience in the privacy of a personal suite.

So start with booking a facial or massage to relieve any stress or unwanted tension. Unfortunately, I did not participate in the spa services, but don’t make the same mistake as I did – I’m still dreaming of a firm massage, lemon-scented linens and a steamed shower.

Thanks to the staff at the Le Méridien, The Joseph, I truly felt relaxed before a crazy weekend that was ahead of me. This hotel was the perfect Columbus staycation and I highly recommend it to any Columbus couple looking to spoil themselves for any special occasion.
