How have you been? I’ve missed you! It’s been about 3-weeks since I’ve written a post and since then I’ve been relaxing from my social life and briefly taking a personal hiatus. Have you ever felt like that? The feeling of wanting to get away from it all so you spontaneously book a random flight somewhere just because? Well, I have and when I don’t have the option to leave, the best outlet for me is hiking with my good friend Ryann.
I truly believe Ohio is for hikers. We have so many beautiful trails and state parks, it’s so hard not to spend 7-8 hours roaming around and awing in the beauty of it all. When Ryann and I hike together we literally talk about everything – from life, to love, to career aspirations and it all takes place in the middle of nowhere which is so refreshing. I absolutely love it. If you haven’t done so already, grab a friend and try it. I promise you that any situation that stressed you out beforehand will be gone by the end of your hike.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, she and I went to John Bryan State Park and we had a good time. We hiked the trails and stumbled across all forms of wild life, from frogs to extremely large neon caterpillars.

Have you heard about the field of sunflowers off State Route 68? If you missed them this year, you can try again next year by driving up late July and early August. That's the best time to go.
I hope you take the time to visit a state park this fall before it gets too cold and always remember to have fun and be safe on the hiking trails.
