Is anyone else annoyed that more restaurants don't deliver? I mean c’mon there is a serious market for pure laziness and I’m sitting right here, on my couch, too comfy to leave and very much hangry (hunger + angry).
Many restaurants offer pick-up, but who has time for pants? And let’s be honest, once the bra is off, that sucker is dunzo. Nope, not happening. This girl… who am I kidding? These girls are in for the night and if it’s Sunday, I won’t see a bra till Monday.
So what are my options for food? Well, this may be surprising, but I’m not much of a sandwich person – so Jimmy John’s is out of the question, Chinese food can be too heavy, and pizza (although very delicious) can be boring. Columbus needs variety, we need options and thanks to a new app called, DoorDash – Sundays just got lazier.
DoorDash, a new food service delivery app, is ready to serve you the best of Columbus. Since I’ve downloaded the app, I’ve ordered food three times and I’m probably ordering another as you read this post. Through May, the delivery fee for all Columbus restaurants will be $1, with no order minimums. So use my promo code “COLUMBUSLIVING” for $5 off your first order of $20 or more. The promise is to get food to your door in a dash (basically within an hour). My average wait time was about 35 minutes which wasn't bad at all and the customer service was amazing. My Dasher, Will was on it and even followed up with me via text to see if I needed any extra condiments or silverware with my meal.
DoorDash delivers to Upper Arlington, Hilliard, Dublin, Powell, Westerville, Worthington, Lewis Center, New Albany, Gahanna and Downtown. The service offers access to food from more than 200 area locations, including The Whitney House, Bibibop, The Chintz Room and The Carvery.
The app is available for download through Google Play and the Apple Store – or you can visit: www.doordash.com. All these photos are courtesy from what I found on Google.
Note: I did mention I was hangry, so satisfying my hunger took precedence over taking photos and yes, all three times. Plus I thought the graphics were cooler and told a better story. If you have any questions about the app, please feel free to comment below. Thanks, DoorDash! You've made a customer out of me.
